Family GEDCOM Plugin

GEDCOM file importer for the family plugin. Free: MIT licensed. Not yet installable — planned for ɳFamily v1.1.0.

Status

Not installable. This plugin is planned and blocked on the family plugin shipping with the ɳFamily bundle in v1.1.0. Do not attempt to install it before the ɳFamily bundle is available.

What It Will Do

Imports GEDCOM files (the standard genealogy exchange format) into the nSelf family data model. Parses individuals, families, events, and relationships from .ged files and writes them to the Postgres tables managed by the family plugin.

Useful for migrating existing genealogy data from Ancestry, FamilySearch, or desktop apps (MacFamilyTree, Gramps, etc.) into a self-hosted ɳFamily instance.

Dependency

Requires the family plugin (ships with the ɳFamily Bundle, $0.99/mo).

Configuration

Configuration details will be published when the plugin ships. Env vars will follow the FAMILY_GEDCOM_* prefix convention.
