RSSɳSelf uses Shape Up to ship in 6-week cycles. These are the bets we commit to, not a wishlist. If a bet gets cut, we say so here.
Shape Up glossary
- Bet
- A feature ɳSelf commits to ship this cycle.
- Cycle
- 6-week build window. Q1 = weeks 1-6, Q2 = weeks 7-12, etc.
- Cooldown
- 2-week buffer after each cycle for fixes and admin.
- Pitch
- One-page write-up explaining why a bet is worth the cycle.
- Appetite
- Max time ɳSelf will spend. S = 1-2 days, M = 1 week, L = 2-3 weeks.
- Cut
- A bet not finished by cycle end. Cut, not deferred, honest accounting.
